| El tiburón gata es nocturno y durante el día se le ve descansando en el fondo o en cuevas del arrecife. Los jóvenes prefieren aguas someras, mientras que los adultos solo las visitan de noche para cazar rayas, calamares, pulpos, langosta, erizos y otros peces. Este tiburón puede llegar a medir hasta 4 metros y a pesar más de 100 kg. Los ataques a humanos son escasos, pero han aumentado al incrementar el turismo con tiburones. Por favor no intente tocarlos ni alimentarlos. |
| The nocturnal nurse shark is often seen resting on the ocean floor or in crevices on the reef during the day. Juveniles prefer shallow waters, while adults only venture into the shallows at night, to hunt for stingrays, squid, octopus, lobster, sea urchins and other fish. This shark can reach lengths of over 4 meters and weigh above 100 kg. Attacks on humans are very rare, but have increased as shark related tourism has increased. Please do not attempt to touch or feed them. |
