| La Rabirrubia es de fácil identificación por la raya amarilla que atraviesa su cuerpo a la mitad, de cabeza a cola, sus aletas y cola amarilla, y las motas amarillas sobre un cuerpo pálido. Sin embargo, los jóvenes pueden confundirse fácilmente con el Chivo Amarillo, de menor tamaño y apariencia similar, pero que carece de las motas amarillas y tiene unos largos “bigotes”. A los jóvenes de ambas especies se les encuentra frecuentemente entre pastos marinos. |
| A yellow stripe along the middle of the body from head to tail, yellow fins and yellow spots on a pale body make the Yellowtail Snapper fairly easy to identify. However, juveniles can be easily confused with the much smaller Yellow Goatfish, which has a similar appearance but lacks the yellow spots and has a pair of long “whiskers”. Juveniles of both species are often found in seagrass beds. |
