| Es nativa de Centro América y el Caribe. Tradicionalmente las flores se usaban para darle sabor al cacao, y el latex era usado como purgante y para tratar enfermedades de la piel. Es pariente cercana de la Flor de Cuervo (Plumeria rubra). |
| The flowers of this native of Central America and the Caribbean was traditionally used to flavor cocoa, while the sap was used as a laxative and to treat skin disorders. It is a close relative of the Red Plumeria (Plumeria rubra). |
